How to start a new game on Steam

To start a new game account on Steam, open Gems of War. Whilst the game is loading, press and hold shift + 6 until the text "Are you sure you want to delete your account from this device?" appears. Select Yes.

Deleting your account or game will only delete the game that is stored on your computer. Your account will still remain on our servers.

Note down your password before you delete your old game, otherwise, if you want to play your old account you'll need to contact support to recover your password. You can verify your account here (each account requires a separate email to link to).

Starting a new game after an account ban or if the above fails

If you have been banned in Gems of War, this is for hacking, and the ban is permanent. Sometimes, using Shift + 6 to start a new game may also fail.

If you want to continue playing Gems of War you can start a new game by following the above steps. If the steps do not allow you to create a new account you can also try the following:

1. Turn off Steam Cloud: How Do I Turn Off Steam Cloud?
2. In Start, type regedit into the search field, then select the program called regedit
3. Navigate to the directory or folder called "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Pipeworks"
4. Delete the "GemsofWar" folder in here.​
