Kill rare Gnomes and score a Victory against the enemy team to earn extra rewards and a chance for a Vault Key. To earn a reward Gnomes must have the loot sack icon in battle.
Gnomes are very rare NPCs that can appear randomly in most game modes. Gnomes will have a 50% chance to run away if their Mana is full and their Spell is cast - Kill them before they run away! There are Treasure, Glory, Pet and Jewel Gnomes.
Gnomes will appear in most battles including:
- Pet Gnomes only appear in PVP (including ranked PVP, casual and Arena)
Gnomes should not spawn in other battles such as Guild Wars and Training Battles.
What do Gnomes look like?
An NPC Treasure Gnome that drops special rewards will have a loot sack icon in the corner of a card. If the Gnome does not have a loot sack it is a normal Troop card collected on an enemy player's team.

Types of Gnomes and Gnome rewards
Each Gnome killed has a chance to drop a reward (indicated with the loot sack at the end of a battle) as well as a very, very rare chance to earn a Vault Key. The Gnome must be killed and the battle won to earn the rewards.
From each Gnome, you can earn different rewards. Some share the same rewards but you can earn higher quantities with them. Each Gnome can give you:
- Treasure Gnome
- Souls, Gold, Glory, Keys, Diamonds, Vault Keys, Traitstones
- Pet Gnomes
- Trigger a 1 hour Pet Rescue for your Guild
- Glory Gnome
- Gives more Glory than Treasure Gnomes
- Soul Gnome
- Drops Souls or Vault Keys with a higher chance of earning a Vault Key than a Pet Gnome
- Jewel Gnome
- Drops Jewels, Diamonds, Shards or a Vault Key
These are in approximate order of rarity.
Vault keys and vault events
There is a very, very low chance to earn Vault Keys by killing Gnomes. Vault Events are sometimes held on weekends. During this time the chance of Treasure Gnomes appearing increases and so does the chances of earning a Vault Key. There is a guaranteed chance to earn a Vault Key by closing Portal 5 during a Raid Boss event and completing Stage 7 during and Invasion Live Event.
The Gnome Vault
Use Vault Keys by selecting Games from the Kingdom Map screen then Gnome Vault. This will place you in a battle against Cedric Sparklesack and 3 other Treasure Gnomes. If the battle is won and each Treasure Gnome is killed they will each give you a different reward (one loot sack per Gnome). Cedric Sparklesack will also generally earn you a higher amount of one type of resource. There is a potential to earn a Vault troop if Cedric is defeated.
