Troop refunds and balance changes

Troop Refunds are offered by the Gems of War developers when a Troop has had major changes that affect its gameplay.

Troops are primarily changed due to being poorly "balanced"* in the game. Troop Refunds may also be offered when a Troop is changed due to new features affecting how its Spell or Trait works, changing the Troop's Spells and Traits to align with new Kingdoms or content, Troops under or over performing or bug fixes. Details on Troop changes are provided in the Patch Notes for each game update.

What happens if I refund a Troop?

Refunding a Troop is permanent and will return the exact Souls and Traitstones used to Ascend and Trait the Troop.
