After updating, when opening the game the message "Error - Your connection to the server has timed out. Please try again later." means that you need to update your game on all devices.
This issue is caused by playing Gems of War on multiple devices and updating one version of the game but not the other. For example, updating the game on Steam but not on your iPhone.
Resolving the issue
To fix this:
- Close Gems of War on each device
- If possible, try to link your account
- Update the game on all devices
- If updating the game does not resolve the issue then you will need to try Reinstalling.
If you have not previously linked your account you may lose access to it temporarily while reinstalling. Please contact support and we will help you recover the account quickly.
