A list of game bugs and glitches in Gems of War which the game team is aware of.

New issues are added to the bottom of this list going forward. Issues with a high impact will also have articles linked to them which can be selected for more information or found in the known issues section of the help center for more information.

If you experience a CLIFFY error, please submit a support ticket including the error exactly as it appears in-game, along with your invite code.

General

  • Error when trying to access the Guild Activity tab
  • Guild Wars defence restrictions applying outside of Guild Wars
    • This can be resolved by closing and reopening Gems of War
  • Gems not dropping in to refill the game board
  • Game board soft locks and cannot be interacted with;
    • This appears to happen most in the PvP Game Mode when Lycanthropy status effect and the weapon Essance of Evil are being used. This issue is currently under investigation by the development team.
  • Earning Mythic Troops in the Guild Event Shop or from the Soulforge does not send a "(You) just earned a Mythic Troop" notification in the Global chat
  • If multiple skull matches are made by a spell, and the opponent Troop has a Trait that summons a troop when damage is taken if the Troop is summoned in front of the Troop targeted by the skull damage, some of the skull matches won't do damage.
  • The bottom 3 buttons that can switch, may revert back to the Settings/ News/ Calendar buttons when returning to the World Map.
  • The 3 Bottom Left buttons may wander off the menu (playing a battle, and returning to the world map should fix this issue).
  • Extended loading times, particularly in the PVP game mode
  • In the Guild Wars Rewards screen where the bonus reward text (the blue text under the individual Victory rewards), is not including bonus morale from the Leaderboard.
    • This is a visual issue only, and collecting the rewards will give the correct amount.
  • Promotion pop-up for Guild members not appearing
  • Class icon missing from Guild roster intermittently
  • Battles against a Keep Guardian will display the last player as an honor option
  • Victory screen remains when pressing continue
    • There is a workaround, restarting the game will fix the issue.
  • Daily War ending timer missing text
    • Sometimes resolves by going out and back into the Guild screen
  • Keep locations change scale
    • Visual issue only
  • Guild Wars menu UI changes scale when accessing Global Chat
    • Visual issue only
  • When rank 1-3 Guild members change maps, there can be misaligned assets on the new Keep map
    • Visual issue only

PC. Mobile & Tablets

  • [Android] Notifications are not being received
  • [Android] Receiving inactivity notifications, when playing daily
  • [Amazon] Crashing since updating to 8.4

PlayStation

  • Crashing when trying to view the Guild Activity screen
  • Crashing when Abraxas or Shadow Wraith are on the players team, commonly after casting their spells
  • Cannot select the Medallion or Rewards icons in the Guild Wars menu

Xbox

  • Unable to make purchases - being kicked out of the offer screen
  • Visual issue - Decimal placed in the wrong spot in real money offers
    • Eg. Offers that were $4.99 can show as $499
  • Crashing when trying to view the Guild Activity screen
  • Crashing when Abraxas or Shadow Wraith are on the players team, commonly after casting their spells
  • Cannot select the Medallion or Rewards icons in the Guild Wars menu

Nintendo Switch

  • Some shop offers are currently unavailable
  • Some Troops do not appear as Upgradable in the Troop menu.
    • Also missing their Upgradeable icon.
  • Boost displayed for Burrow Warden appears higher than normal. This is due to the boost and attack being stolen and incorrectly being totalled together.
    • This is a display issue only.

When will the issue be fixed?

    • "Fixed in update X.X" - Issues like this can only be fixed with changes to the code. This means that the issue will be resolved in the next client update version. We are currently in the game update version 8.4 You can check the updated version in the Settings menu of the game near the "X" exit button.
    • "Fixed" - These issues can be fixed with data changes or pushes to the server, happen quickly and do not require an update. These bugs or issues should no longer affect you. If they do, please let us know here
