You can report players in Gems of War for hacking or inappropriate behavior.
The Gems of War team have community guidelines in place that help players understand the behavior that is accepted within the game community. These guidelines reinforce the Rules of Conduct under Point 3 in the Terms of Service for the game. Generally, innapropriate behavior and hacking or exploiting the game to gain an unfair advantage is unacceptable.
How to report a player
To report a player you can use this form to contact the support team. Include details on:
- The community guideline being broken
- If it is a chat report, the conversation before and after
Most reports are either for inappropriate behavior seen in the in-game chat or breaking or for hacking or cheating. You are also able to private message the community and support staff Salty, Cyrup and Kafka on the forums.
The process of investigating a report
The Gems of War community team will provide a standard canned message in response if you contact us with a report. If we require more information we will request it. The report will be investigated and the player judged against the guidelines. The player will be banned or otherwise reprimanded if the report is sufficient. If we speak to a player about their behavior you will not see this conversation. For more information on hacking reports see this article.
Providing information on your report
Due to company policy, we will not comment on the process of our investigations with a player who is reported. We believe in keeping the process as unbiased as possible to provide a fair outcome and to keep the privacy of the person being reported secure. If a community team member responds to you with a standard response, this means that we have read your report and will investigate the player shortly. If you don't see them banned or action taken in the game immediately, this can mean that they did not completely break a community guideline, we did not have enough information to act, they will be banned in the near future - and we're processing it shortly - or they were not in the wrong in this particular case.
NOTE: If you see the player breaking the guidelines again you are welcome to report them again after a new offense.
