Q: Does the Nintendo Switch edition of Gems of War have online multiplayer?
A: Gems of War does not offer live PVP, but does include co-operational play in Guilds and Weekly Guild Events.
Q: Does Gems of War support local wireless play?
A: Unfortunately, Gems of War doesn't support local wireless play. Due to the nature of the game and events (such as PVP and weekly guild events) Gems of War must be played with an internet connection.
Q: How many Joy-Cons are required to play Gems of War?
A: You can play Gems of War in tablet mode, but you will need to have the Joy Cons connected. If not, you will encounter an error message.
Q: Can I use a Pro Controller to play Gems of War?
A: Yes you can!
Q: Can Gems of War be enjoyed in both TV, handheld and tabletop mode?
A: Yes. However, you will need to have a controller connected.
Q: Does Gems of War support Mii characters?
A: Gems of War does not support Mii characters.
Q: Will I be able to transfer my save data / progress from another platform to Nintendo Switch?
A: Unfortunately, due to platform restrictions, we can't offer crossplay on the Switch at this point in time.
Q: Will I need a microSD card to play Gems of War?
A: You will only need a MicroSD card to play Gems of War if you are out of space on the Switch.
Q: Does Gems of War require an internet connection to play?
A: Yes! Gems of War requires an internet connection due to PVP and events. It also needs to be connected to our server when opening chests. For more information see this article here.
Q: Are Amiibo supported in Gems of War?
A: Amiibo's are not supported in Gems of War.
