PvP Regions
PvP takes place on a slightly different version of the World Map. This PvP World Map is broken up into 10 Regions. To play PvP you just need to select one of these 10 regions, and select Quick Battle. This will display 3 enemies to battle and all you need to do is choose one, just like the old PvP system.
Regions
These 10 Regions are divided into 3 sections, the Center Ring, Inner Ring and Outer RIng. The Central Ring is small as it only has 1 region which is called the Central Spire. 3 regions make up the Inner Ring and they are Aidania, Southwild and Geheron. Broken up into 6 regions, the Outer Ring is the largest area of the PvP World Map, the regions that reside here are Winter’s Reach, Ancient Khet, Bay of Stars, Maraji Expanse, Summer Isle and the Broken Lands.
Each of the Regions has 3 to 4 Kingdoms that fall within its borders and this can affect gameplay in a few different ways.
The Central Ring which is the Central Spire is available to all players and imposes no team restrictions. Participating in PvP in Central Spire is very much like playing the old PvP system.
The Inner Ring of Aidania, Southwild and Geheron places a restriction on which troop and weapon color can be used to make a team. Players in Silver League or higher will be able to play PvP in these Regions.
The Outer Ring places a team restriction on what troop type or kingdoms can be used when playing PvP in Winter's Reach, Ancient Khet, Bay of Stars, Maraji Expanse, Summer Isle and Broken Lands. PvP in this area is only available to players in Gold League and above.
These restrictions can be seen on the PvP World Map, the Region Menu, and the Pre-Battle Menu. The team restrictions that are applied to the Inner & Outer Rings will change every week at weekly reset, and they’re related to the Kingdoms found “within” that region.
While in a Region’s Menu you’ll be able to view details of your battle statistics inside that region by selecting the Info icon.
The second icon that will appear inside a region is Quick Battle, selecting this will bring up the Quick Battle menu and give you 3 opponents to choose from that are in your current weekly league bracket.
It’s important to note that while you're in a Region Menu you’ll see some transparent icons, these are related to more features and modes will be added to the Region Menus in future updates.
Regional Bonuses
Regional Bonuses work in much the same way as how some Kingdoms give bonus Mythstones for Explore. PvP Regions with a Regional Bonus can give bonus Silver Marks received for participating in PvP.
You’ll be able to tell if a Region Bonus is active as a progress bar will be present at the bottom of the Regions Menu.
If a Region has a Silver Mark Regional bonus, after winning 5 PvP battles you will receive some extra Silver Marks, and then the Regional Bonus will move to a new region. Depending on which region the bonus is in will determine the number of Silver Marks you’ll receive.
The following shows how many Silver Marks are received when the bonus in each Rings regions;
- Central Ring Regions: 10 Silver Mark Bonus
- Inner Ring Regions: 15 Silver Mark Bonus
- Outer Ring Regions: 20 Silver Mark bonus
Starting at Sapphire League and above, players will receive +1 Silver Mark extra for their Regional Bonuses, so:
- Sapphire League = 1 extra Silver Marks per bonus
- Amethyst League = 2 extra Silver Marks per bonus
- Topaz League = 3 extra Silver Marks per bonus
- Ruby League = 4 extra Silver Marks per bonus
- Diamond League = 5 extra Silver Marks per bonus
There is a limit to how many Silver Mark bonuses a player can collect in a single day and this limitation is tied to which League a player is in.
- Bronze League = 2 Bonus per day
- Silver League = 3 Bonuses per day
- Gold League = 4 Bonuses per day
- Platinum League = 5 Bonuses per day
- Emerald League and higher = Unlimited Bonuses per day
Blood Frenzy
Blood Frenzy affects two different regions each day. While Blood Frenzy is active, the opponents in its region will receive a power boost, increasing the challenge of the battles faced in that area.
This increased challenge allows players to get greater rewards. Winning PvP battles in a region with an active Blood Frenzy will give a x2 bonus to Victory Points. If a Victory Talisman is used in that battle it applies a x3 bonus to Victory Points earned from that battle (instead of x2).
Additionally, if a Regional Bonus is active inside of a Blood Frenzy Region, a x2 bonus is given to the number of Silver Marks that can be earned from the Regional Bonus.
Blood Frenzy is active on the same two regions globally, so all players will experience the same Blood Frenzy regions at the same time. This status may affect any region except for the Central Spire. It resets at Daily Reset each day. It will usually (but not always) pick two new regions and players will receive a notification via a message pop up saying "Blood Frenzy regions have moved" when it has changed.
